The third club tournament of 2011 was on Banks Lake.
The water was about one foot below full pool. Water
temperatures ranged from the high fifties to the low sixties.
Tom and Dana fished for largemouths both days with no success.
Tom said he spent 5 hours fishing for Largemoths on Saturday
afternoon and had two fish that went 16 1/2 inch. He
said he had two that were over 16 1/2 inch on Sunday morning out
of Osborne. Dana had a 16 7/8 on Sunday and called a
sorceress to make it measure 17 inches but it just didn't
work. Tom fished the south end both days except for his
largemouth fishing. Dana said he saw new fish moving on to
beds in Osborne but couldn't get them to bite. Todd and
his son Richard caught a lot of Saturday fish and had the lead after Saturday but the bad Saturday
night storm turned their fish off on Sunday and they chose to
not weigh in their Sunday fish.
