We had 9 members fishing the second
tournament of the year, the Jamboree
on Banks Lake. The
mornings were in the 40's and low
50's with daytime highs in the high
60's. Water temperatures
ranged from the mid 50's up to above
60 on Sunday afternoon.
Unseasonable low temperatures forced
many of the the smallies off of
beds, although fish started moving
back on beds on Sunday.
Temperatures and many fronts slowed
the reaction bite down quite a bit.
Fishing was tougher than normal for
the Jamboree, as many people did not
get daily limits. The club
finished in tenth place with 6
anglers sighed up to fish for Banks.
Bill was able to get rods for the
kids casting contest from Cabela's
which brought smiles to several of
the participating kids faces.
We had two anglers finish in the top
25 this year. Tom Melowitz was
15th and Curt Huisman was 22nd.
Jake Smith fishing his first
tournament for Banks Lake Bass Club
finished second in the 12 - 15 Age
Group! |
