The first Tournament of the year was
scheduled for Roosevelt. Due to
low water levels we moved the tournament
to Banks Lake. Saturday saw a cold
front arrive at 4:15 am with rain that
lasted most of the day on Saturday.
Saturday saw temperatures in the 50's
and strong winds. It was a
terrible day for weather but the fish
bite was good. Sunday was much
more pleasant with calm winds, sun and
temperatures in the 60's. Water
temps ranged from the mid 40's to 50
degrees on the main lake with mid 50's
in the Punch Bowl and several small
bays. Curt Huisman was the runaway
winner with 33.04 pounds. Curt
targeted largemouth with a white spinner
bait. Congratulations to Curt.
Kevin Lunde brought in the big fish, a
4.92 pound largemouth. All in all
the fishing was pretty good on Banks.
