from his 15.18 Pound Sunday Bag

The first club tournament of 2012 was on Lake Roosevelt.  Lake levels were at 1230 feet ( 60 feet low) with water temperatures in the mid 40's and the daily air temperatures starting in the 40's and rising into the 60's.  Both days were sunny with mild to moderate breezes.  We combined our tournament with the Puyallup Hawg Hunters.  For results from the combined tournaments click here.   Some fish were caught on reaction baits but the best bait of the tournament was a tube, with green pumpkin producing the best results.  The Boulder Field and the rocky drop offs along Swawilla Basin produced the best.  The smallies were just coming shallow.  Casting tubes along the rock shores, hopping them, dragging them or dead sticking all produced.
